Tom April 07, 2022 for Model Number FFHS2622MW8 My water dispenser is slow to turn off. Sometimes I pull out on the actuator as I'm afraid it's not going to stop. How can I determine what part to replace.
1 Answer Tom, if the water will still slowly dispense a little bit after pulling the actuator out, the failure would likely either be with an old filter WF3CB or a valve 242252702 not closing properly. Read More...
William September 03, 2021 for Model Number PLHS69EESS2 My icemaker will not dispense the ice that it produces. I recently replaced the switch for both the ice and water dispenser. Water dispenser continues to work fine , Can see no see mechanical issues and the motor for the auger occasionally will turn. What's up?
1 Answer William, You will want to test to see if there is power getting to the dispenser auger motor. If there is but the motor is not turning then the motor is faulty and would need to be replaced. If there is no power to it then the issue will be a faulty dispenser control board. Read More...
Mike April 14, 2019 for Model Number WED6400SW0 My ice dispenser continually dispenses ice. I had to unplug the ribbon cable to stop. I have already changed out the ribbon.
1 Answer Hello Mike, the model number you've supplied refers to a dryer. Please check the model number again and repost but if this unit has a switch you might want to test it. Hope this helps! Read More...
Tim April 09, 2019 for Model Number FRS6LF7FB8 This item: FRIGIDAIRE Dispenser switch (241689101) would this part also be called a micro switch or is there another switch involved on ice activation?

Tim April 08, 2019 My water works fine all lights are on for ice but the Ice will not activate when pressed in. How can I test the switch (38A) to see if that's where my problem is? Thank You
1 Answer Tim, Without the model, I am not absolutely sure it is wired but the majority of these units have the microswitch that closes and lets power run thru the ice and water control board to the auger or water valve. The microswitch itself can be tested with a multimeter for continuity when the little button on top is pressed in it should read closed or beep if you have that option on your meter. Read More...
Roberto February 18, 2019 for Model Number FRS6HF55KM0 My ice maker stops making ice because the water inlet keeps freezing up. I know this because when we have power outage (longer than an hour or so), ice starts dispensing after the electricity returns. But it only makes ice for one day or less. What can be making the lines to freeze?
1 Answer Roberto, if the unit is not dispensing ice unless power is disconnected for an hour or so, then you may more than likely be looking at a dispenser control issue [241708309]. For the fill line to thaw enough to allow for ice production the unit would have to be off with the door open for a few hours or by manually warming the section. If the icemaker is not going into a harvest mode and not calling for water, then you may have an icemaker issue [241798231]. Read More...
Matt January 22, 2019 for Model Number PLHS69EGSS4 My side by side with water/ice dispenser acts a little weird. It functions correctly, except with you open then close the freezer side door the ice auger momentarily runs. What is causing this? It causes a small pile of ice to build up in the door and clogs it from slightly melting and freezing.
1 Answer Matt, you will want to check the wiring coming out of the door to the cabin for any bare wire. If there is bare wire and it rubs against a voltage supply, it can cause intermittent operation of components that were not engaged. Another thing you will want to test for is the ice dispenser paddle. It should not wiggle around and easily engage the switch behind it without some pressure applied. If the paddle is loose and easily engages the switch without pressure applied, you would want to change out the ice paddle 241682303. Read More...
Ed November 11, 2018 for Model Number FGUS2642LF0 When selecting water or ice at the in door dispenser, water or ice will continue to come out of the dispenser even after the lever is released. Is it possible to fix by changing a micro switch or does the entire module have to be replaced? Thank you.
1 Answer ED, The 242074223 / 242074223 REFRIGERATOR ICE DISPENSER MODULE is a complete assembly, it contains the actuator switch, flapper solenoid and control PCBs. You'll need to replace the assembly. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
John July 17, 2018 Ice /water dispenser was acting up, i found that it was the ribbon cable, every time the dispenser wasn't working i had to push the ribbon in, now the water won't stop running unless we unplug the ribbon cable. Frigidaire FRS6LF7FB7, what do i need to replace?
Hoa April 17, 2018 Ice maker dispenser switch does not shut off for water or ice. Even if you open the door it continues to dispense. What part do I need? Thank model# FPUS2686LFO
1 Answer Hello Hoa. You will need to replace the control board 241973711 and check for a bad door switch if the motor continues to run with the door open. The switch breaks the neutral to the motor. Now the valve could continue to run due to a bad water valve stuck open and not closing off the water in the unit. Thank you. Read More...
