Frank for Model Number LFFH2067DH2 Noticed water in front of unit; food beginning to thaw. Unloaded and moved to another freezer. Monitored Unit. It would cool down just fine(-20+ at highest setting) and then temp would rise to 25 -30 deg trouble alarm/light would come on and then some time later go off after unit cooled back down; some water dripping from bottom of door during time trouble light is lit. Purchased from you and installed defrost thermostat No difference after replacing the thermotat; unit cooling and cycling as above for several days and then stopped cooling/ fan is running. Purchased from you and installed defrost timer. plugged in and fan runs and no cooling as before but compressor not running; laying down close to rear of the unit I can hear a periodic click ; buzz(compressor trying to start?) What next? Haul it to there dump?
Answer Frank, based on the information provided, it sounds like the defrost drain port is clogged up and causing the evaporator to restrict air flow. It would be recommended that the back cover is removed and the defrost drain inspected for ice build up under the evaporator. If there is ice, it would need to be cleared all the way through the drain hose to the pan on the compressor. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 10, 2021
