Jim for Model Number J KP90S P4SS Our Microwave started Humming & the Control Panel side got very warm. I un-plugged the Magetron power & it still Hummed. The Transforner looks fine to me. I checked all 3 Door switches & they are working correctly. I un-plugged the Control Board power & the Hum stopped. I assume the Control Board (RAS-SM27D, P/N DE41-00359A) is bad; Agree? What Part do I need? Thanks
Answer Hello Jim, A low frequency "growl" is normally an indication of a transformer issue. Verify on the primary side that 120Vac is getting to the high voltage transformer.
