Carol for Model Number GEW9200LW1 My new ice maker is very slow making ice, is there any way to turn it up?
Answer Hello Carol, You need to put a thermometer in the freezer compartment and adjust it to 0°F to 10°F, (Colder temperatures cause a long harvest time resulting in slower ice production). If the temperature is too high you may need to clean the condenser coils or check for an air leak around the doors or the ice dispense door. If the temperature is correct, there is most likely an issue internal to the icemaker causing a long cycle.
