Denny for Model Number PSHS6MGZBESS My ice maker on a regular basis (every few days) seems to create a lot of heat melting the ice in the bin and increasing the overall temp in the freezer compartment. It seems that during the portion of the cycle when the "fingers" are expelling the ice from the freezing tray and when the heating element momentarily activates so the ice is released from the tray, the element stays on creating excess amounts of heats. Should I replace the ice maker unit? What else may be occurring to cause this malfunction? It is very inconvenient to try and get ice but find it frozen together in the bin.
Answer Denny, if the ice maker WR30X30972 is stalling in its harvest during the heating portion, this would be an issue with the ice maker motor itself and the ice maker would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 30, 2019
