John Our GE fridge/frezer GSS25QGTABB control panel on the freezer door has stopped working. At first the ice/water did not work and now even the temperature control does not work. Your sales folks (very good friendly service) suggested part number AP4362900. Before I order that part I have a couple of questions. I checked the wiring at the bottom of the freezer door and there does not seem to be any split in the wire. I did see a plug on that wiring harness that has nothing plugged into it. Maybe that is a plug for diagnostics? Also - is there a possibility that something else could be wrong? Thanks for your advice.
Answer Hello John, The plug at the bottom of the door with nothing attached is for diagnostic checks. The only other part other than the dispenser interface WR55X10859 would be the main control board. You would want to check power coming to the dispenser from the main board. It is 12vdc that comes to the dispenser. You will want to access your wiring diagram to see which wires to test. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, January 15, 2013
