Doug for Model Number dbxr463ed2ww The Rotary switch went out and grounded out, heard pop. I have replaced the rotary switch, but the dryer doesn't work. I Have checked the door switch and it checks out ok. I have checked the interlock switch as it is mounted and it has continuity constant. How should it properly be checked? And what else should I be checking? Thanks.
Answer Hi Doug. On the back inner bulkhead, is your heater cover assembly. This is right behind the drum assembly. There should be a single thermal fuse on the upper right side. There are 2 more on the upper Lt. side to reference safety fuses. You always remove all power first. then you remove at least one wire to "isolate" the item that you are testing. They all should read closed. This thermal fuse on the rt. will stop all operation. This part # is WE4M137. Thank - you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 11, 2011
