Sid Hello, I have the following dryer: DCVH680EJ1WW Recently, the dryer stopped tumbling/spinning, so I took it apart and found a broken belt lying on the dryer floor. I ordered a replacement belt and thanks to your super helpful video, was able to install the new belt. However, when I turn on the dryer and hit the start/pause button, I just hear one "click". I checked the newly installed belt and the motor turns when the drum rotates, so I am assuming that the belt has been installed correctly. It would be great if you could please help or let me know if I am missing something. Thanks, Sid
Answer Sid, you may want to check the broken belt switch WD21X10261 located in between the idler pulley and the cabin wall for continuity while the pulley is away from it. If the idler pulley engaged the switch too forcefully, it could cause the switch to have an open circuit when disengaged. If this is the case, it will need to be replaced. Read More...
