Ray for Model Number PDW9280N20SS So my wife mixed detergents and plugged the dispenser tank again. for the second time.in our GE dishwasher. I took the tank out and cleaned it thoroughly as I had in the past then tried to manually purge the water and the touchpad stopped responding. After turning power on and off several times to try and reset. I got a new touchpad. Before sticking it to the front door I plugged it in and tried it. The dishwasher ran through a cycle as it should.. Thinking I had solved the mystery even though the two issues shouldnt have been related I carefully put the pad on the door, closed the door, then turned the breaker back on.Now It is doing the same thing it did at the start no response from the touchpad no matter which buttons pressed. two lights are on, heat and one of the lights that show which mode of cleaning is lit. Makes no sense to me.Your thoughts?.
Answer Ray, You will want to check the ribbon harness connection at the control board to make sure that the harness is fully seated. This issue could be a bad connector on the control board in which once the liner is put on it is causing a short in that connector. Read More...
