Geoff for Model Number PDW9980L00SS I have a problem similar to Brad's with the pdw8880l00ss. Mine will start (begin to fill), sometimes start the cycle, sometimes just stop during filling and at other times, finish the rinse cycle and start the wash cycle andthen just stop. I've noticed that the cycle time under the same conditions as a few weeks ago is now 20 minutes shorter? Any ideas?
Answer Hi. It seems like you have a couple different issue. Remove the lower kick plate. Inspect the float stem as it engages the float switch for positive engagement actions up and down (ON/OFF). Make sure the float stem has not fallen off the side of the lever and the side cover has not uncapped open allowing all of this. Once this is established, then the Diagnostic chart needs to be located (either behind the toe kick panel in with the electronic control board). Put the unit into a diagnostic mode. It sounds like the Turbidity Sensor test in the diagnostic needs tested. The Sensor is part # WD21X10202. Make sure the door latch/switches are staying closed. Let us know what the diagnostic error codes are so we can help. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, November 12, 2012
