T for Model Number PDW8280J10SS Had a power failure. When electric came back on there was a "pop" sound followed by smoke emitting from vent of dishwasher. (Smell was similar to when a light ballast burns out.) By my verbal description, I was told the control board (AKA module control ASM ?) needed to be replaced. Is this a fair assessment of the damage and if so, is this part easy to replace for a "do it yourselfer" with limited electrical experience?
Answer Hello T. Yes, it sounds like the control board WD21X10463 is bad on the unit. These are not to hard to replace. Just make sure the wires from the old board are connected to the correct location on the new board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 14, 2015
