Alan for Model Number General Electric JT915SK4SS F2 error code when oven operates at high temperatures for awhile. No problem when at high temperature for cleaning. I removed the oven and disconnected the sensor. The sensor resistance measures 1100 ohms. Is that within spec? If it's not the sensor, where else should I look?
Answer Alan, The sensor resistance is in range , at room temp. (1050-1100 ohms) but could be erratic and inconsistent at the mid range temperatures (1650-1950 ohms). Check the sensor harness connectons and make sure they are a tight fit, and the connectors are not discolored. Check both wires and make sure there are no frayed or broken insulation, then replace the oven temperature sensor WB23T10015, the alternative would be a fault in the ERC/Clock WB27T10605, but that's not likely at this point.
