Curt L January 29, 2024 for Model Number JKP20B0F2BB. (GE) About halfway through baking dinner, the oven will turn off, then after a couple of minutes, it comes back on. Could this be the temperature sensor?
1 Answer Curt, You will want to make sure that the cooling fan is running. If the cooling fan is not running then this can cause the control board to overheat and shut down. Test to make sure that there is 120 vac to the fan and if there is but the fan is not running then it would need to be replaced. The cooling fan part number would be WB26T10018. Read More...
Dave July 09, 2023 for Model Number JT965SOF3SS Is there a way to test the temp sensor and will the temp sensor disable the oven? The bake, broil and convection do not heat. I have checked the lower calrod/element for continuity and it checks about 25 ohms. The control panel seems to function as all buttons work and display. The set temp displays @ 350 and start temp shows 100. but no heat from the elements.
1 Answer Dave, Yes, you can test the oven sensor for a resistance of 1090 ohms at room temperature. It would most likely not be an issue with the sensor shutting the entire unit down. You will first want to test to make sure that there is 240 vac going into the unit. If there is then test at the elements to see if they are receiving 240 vac when set to bake. If there is proper power then it would be the elements that are bad. If there is not proper power then check for a overtemperature thermostat on the back of the oven and if there is not one then the control board will be the issue. Read More...
James November 14, 2022 for Model Number JTP27WDW2WW I need a temperature sensor for the top oven of my GE double oven model JTP27WDW2WW. When I look it up on the site it recommends sensor AP3187983 which replaces sensor number WB23T10015. My current temp sensor is number WB21X5340. The recommended one is about 6" long and the existing is less than 3". I just want to verify that this is the correct fit for this 23 year old oven. Thanks
2 Answers James, Per the manufacturer WB23T10015 is the updated temp sensor for the upper and lower oven. Read More...

Jack August 22, 2022 for Model Number 326B1230Poo1 I just asked a question but then hit stop by mistake. my sensor for cleaning my oven stops after an hour and a half. I get a F9 code. Tried unplugging and start over but get same F9 code. I want to purchase a new sensor control, what is the part number
1 Answer Hello Jack, the model number given is a part number, not a model number. Please recheck for the model number and repost your question. Also, the F9 code denotes a failure in the oven door latch mechanism. Read More...
Jack August 22, 2022 for Model Number jtp20cf1cc I keep getting a F9 code. I'm trying to clean the oven, but half way thru I get the F9 code. I've tried disconnecting the power waiting and start over but I get the F9 code again. I believe I need a new sensor control, was is the number so I can order one?
1 Answer Jack, the control WB27T10411 is going to be responsible for controlling the temperature based on the reading from the sensor WB23T10015. However, the error F9 is going to indicate a cooling fan motor failure. This can occur if the fan motor behind the control is not operating, if there is an object blocking the air flow under the appliance, or if the control has failed. This can be identified by inspecting for anything blocking the vents, then pulling the unit out so that the top panel can be removed. This will allow the voltage to the fan motor to be tested when the unit is set to a clean cycle. Within just a few moments, the tan should receive 120VAC, if it does and it does not operate, the motor would need to be replaced. If it does not receive voltage, the control would need to be replaced. Read More...
Eddyb May 16, 2022 for Model Number JCSP47BF5BB On trying to replace part number WB23T10015, the temperature sensor, I found that the sensor plug and the receptacle had melted together. They were so brittle, they shattered apart when I touched them. With a bit of scraping I got the receptacle clear enough so that I could get sensor plugged in but there are exposed parts and it would probably have to be taped together with electrician's tape. Even though the taped bit would be well inside the back panel, I'm kinda leery of doing that. It seems the alternative is a complete wiring harness or a new range. Please advise.
1 Answer Eddy, It would be recommended to cut off the connectors and splice the wires together using ceramic wires nuts and then taping them off with electrical tape. Read More...
Gehnell February 21, 2022 for Model Number WB23T10015 I am ordering a new Temp Sensor for my range. I would also like to order the wiring harness that connects to the control board. Would you be able to assist me in ordering that particular wiring harness?
1 Answer Gehnell, if the model number of your appliance could be provided in a new question, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...

Chris March 06, 2021 for Model Number JCS 905 WK1 WW My GE range heats up way beyond the set temperature, then switches off. I removed the sensor; as far as I can tell the resistance is 1072ohms. No error codes have been displayed. Any thoughts on the problem ? (BTW, the oven was unused for 4-5 months just before this happened, but Surface Units working fine.)
1 Answer Chris, You probably have a stuck relay on the control board. These relays aree supposed to open and close allowing the element to cycle on and off. WB27T10815 Read More...
