Suzette for Model Number DLL2450BPLAD Hi - I called in and they said the model number Hotpoint dryer I have does not match their records, however they did say that they feel the part number I do need for a door switch is - WE4X197. My old part has 2 prongs, the one they say is a match has 3, will this work? If so, is there any issue or harm in leaving one prong unconnected? Thank you, Suzette
Answer Suzette, Yes the door switch WE4X197 will work for your unit. One of the terminals on this switch would go to the light if your unit had one equipped.
