Sanvi for Model Number WJSR2080T-2WW Suddenly, from one batch of clothes to another, both the dial knob and the plate/support behind got lose. Both spin, unable to hook into the mechanism behind. Plus: no matter how hard I pull they do not come out. How to remove and replace them? To repair: is the cause just they got lose, is there any part to replace? Without being able to remove them, I cannot find out what is the cause neither how to repair it? Thanks! SANVI.
Answer Sanvi, You will need to be careful, and you'll need an awl or small flat blade"pocket screwdriver. To remove the timer knob, you will need to use the tool and try and insert it between the timer knob and dial and release the knob retainer clip WH1X2117, then the knob WH1X2754 and dial WH11X10015 can be slid off the timer shaft. Just make sure you dont damage or loose the retainer ring WH2X650 holding the dial to the shaft. Once the assembly(s) are removed, you can check the timer shaft for proper in and out movemant and alignment, and repair or replace the necessary parts. Read More...
