Brian for Model Number GTWP2000MOWW Our washing machine sometimes does not drain all of the water, sometimes does not spin, and now does not know when to stop filling. These issues have been off and on and it worked perfectly for 2 weeks until the fill issue happened last week. I was thinking the timer could be the issue. Is this the right assumption?
Answer Hello Brian, Check the drain pump for debris and remove the pump to tub hose from each end. Look up into the holes to insure no obstructions are present. If nothing is found, replace the drain pump. As far as the water running goes, there are only two things that will cause the unit to overfill. One is the water pressure. If the water spigot is turned almost off, it will never close the water valve because the valve is closed by water pressure only. There is no spring in the valve to assist in its' closure so a deficiency of pressure will cause this. The other thing of course is the water inlet valve WH13X23974. Read More...
