Ruth N for Model Number DWSR483EG8WW Our dryer timer knob will not start the dryer unless you turn it backwards. We bought a replacement part #WEO4X20089 and put it on. The dryer will still not start unless we turn the timer backwards and it will not stop when time is done. It doesn't seem to advance after setting the time.
Answer Ruth, You will want to check the resistor on the unit and make sure that it is good. The resistance of the resistor should be approximately 4500 ohms.
