I have a question about part WE4X24550 AP6031056 There is question on the website from "Paul" that relates to my issue. The answer references a 'resistor' part near the timer, but I don't see that on the parts diagram. Can you please provide more information and the part number?

Carolyn, The resistor is not in the run circuit on your model and would have nothing to do with the dryer not shutting off. Try a timed dry setting. If it stops at the end of the cycle it is probably the extra care switch not feeding the timer motor voltage to advance.
