Chris for Model Number DBXR453ET5WW Our Timer Knob does not advance. The Dryer keeps running and will not shut off because timer knob will not advance. Also the dryer takes a long time to heat up. It will eventually heat up but it can take a couple hours before it heats up enough to dry.
Answer Hello Chris. If the heater is not working properly, it can cause the timer WE4M188 not to advance. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, March 21, 2012
