Janna April 05, 2019 for Model Number DBXR463EB1WW My timer makes a noise like its counting down but i didn't turn the start switch yet and when i turn the start switch it will not turn on, just the timer noise. It would only work on the timed dry mode not on cotton or easy care mode. i tested the motor, belts and door switch all has good continuity. I already replaced it with a new start switch and start knob hoping that would solved the problem Could this be a wiring problem or the timer itself is bad (even if my old timer has good continuity)? what does the resistor do.? would replacing the timer be what i need to get this dryer running. thank you
1 Answer Janna, Double check the contacts B-H and B-C on the timer with no power but the timer in a run position. If no continuity then replace the timer. If you have continuity then the door switch and high limit are the only other options other than the motor itself for a no run issue. From what you have replaced I would focus on the high limit which is located in the rear on top of the heater housing on the right side and will have two brown wires going to it. A continuity test can be done here. WE4M137 is the part # for the high limit. Read More...

Mr. G. December 30, 2014 for Model Number DBXR453EA1WW My wife and I think we remember our dryer buzzing to alert us when the cycle finished. Honestly, it has been so long since we have heard it work, we are not sure. But if it did have an alert, I can't find it in the parts list, unless it is in the Start switch or the timer. Can anyone tell me if the buzzer even exists, and if so where it is located, which part needs to be replaced and/or if I can possibly fix the part on my own? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mr. G., If your unit has the buzzer WE4M318, it will be mounted in the control panel near the timer. Read More...
Steve H. August 10, 2014 for Model Number DBXR453EA1WW Turned the timer to start dryer cycle and heard a pop. Now the dryer will not turn on or do anything. It acts as if there is no power to the timer. There is power as the interior light is still on. Can I assume it is the timer? I dont want to just start replacing parts. Any help and info is appreciated!
1 Answer Hello Steve, This sounds like you have lost an electrical circuit. You should check the dryer doo switch first. If it is ok, you will have to remove the terminal block terminal and start checking for 240Vac and lost electrical connections. I doubt seriously that the timer is at fault. This could even be one side of the breaker that has tripped. Read More...

Mike February 10, 2013 for Model Number Dbxr453ev1ww My dryer is upstairs in a loft apartment and does not buzz/alarm when cycle finishes. Does this model normally alert after a cycle?
1 Answer Hello Mike, Unless you have a switch to turn off the end of cycle buzzer then it should automatically go off during the final 2 minutes of cool down stage of cycle. Read More...
