Curt for Model Number NBXR453EV2WW Dryer was working but would never shut off, timer would not advance, ordered and installed new timer, and it is doing the same thing. Could something else cause the timer not to advance? Or could it be I got a defective timer.
Answer Hello Curt. Test for power to the timer motor WE4M189. If there is power there and it does nto advance, then it is bad. If there is no power to the motor, you will need to check the cycling thermostat and heating circuit to see if the wiring or a part is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
