Kate for Model Number DHDSR46EG6WW I bought a replacement timer WE4M533 for a GE dryer and the new knob WE1M654 doesn't appear to turn the post on the timer. This is prior to the timer being installed. Does the timer need to be wired in and the power turned on in order for the post to turn? Or could it be some other issue? The repair is for a rental 45 minutes drive away, so I want to figure this out before I make the journey and install the new timer. Thanks.
Answer Kate, The timer with the knob on it should turn without power applied to it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 15, 2021
