Alexandra for Model Number DCVH680EJ1WW My dryer cycles are freaking out. All cycles stop mid cycle and then randomly start again. It does this on all the dryer settings. I noticed the problem the first time when I left my house with items drying and 4 hours later, returned to the dryer doing this start/stop thing. It had been running the ENTIRE time. (Scary because the clothes could have caught fire-- they were SO dry.) Should I replace the entire user interface board or replace some other part? A GE technician came out and charged me $100 to tell me that he thought it was the whole computer. He said to replace it would cost $600. After looking into fixing it myself, I am curious if I do need to replace the whole user interface or if I need to replace something different like a timer? I look forward to your feedback. Thank you.
Answer Alexandra, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main power board which will be part number WE4M488. When you remove the main top of the unit it will be located under the main top. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 6, 2016
