This genuine replacement part is a user interface board for dryers. The user interface board is the circuit board that responds to the buttons located on the control panel allowing the user to adjust the dryer settings. If the dryer is no longer responding when buttons are being pressed then it might be time to replace the user interface board. Luckily this is a relatively easy repair. To replace the interface board begin by turning off the power to the dryer. Once the power has been shut off move the dryer away from the wall to gain access to the upper back panel. Remove the panel and locate the interface board. Snap it out of its brackets and remove the wire harness attached to the board. Reinsert the wire connector to the new interface and snap the new board assembly back to its original place. This OEM replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand Dryers.

For Ge User Interface Board Assembly (Part Number: OEM14942727)

Alexandra for Model Number DCVH680EJ1WW

My dryer cycles are freaking out. All cycles stop mid cycle and then randomly start again. It does this on all the dryer settings. I noticed the problem the first time when I left my house with items drying and 4 hours later, returned to the dryer doing this start/stop thing. It had been running the ENTIRE time. (Scary because the clothes could have caught fire-- they were SO dry.) Should I replace the entire user interface board or replace some other part? A GE technician came out and charged me $100 to tell me that he thought it was the whole computer. He said to replace it would cost $600. After looking into fixing it myself, I am curious if I do need to replace the whole user interface or if I need to replace something different like a timer? I look forward to your feedback. Thank you.
