Jackie for Model Number WM2677HSM My LG washer has the OE code. The water was not draining. I took out the drain pump and it looks ok but not sure. However the recirculating pump is corroded on the outside. How do I know which pump is the problem?
Answer Jackie, the 4681EA2001T/4681EA2001T Drain Pump Motor is located on the left side of the pump assembly, the recirculating pump is on the right side. disconnect the wires from the drain pump motor, place the washer into the spin drain mode. use a multimeter or test light and check for 120 VAC across the two wires to the drain pump. If you have the voltage across the wires, the drain pump motor has failed and needs to be replaced. If there is no voltage across the wires you'll need to check the wires from the pump to the control board and replace the control board if there are no issues with the wires. Thanks, Read More...
