Benjamin W for Model Number LSC27914SB Lg Refrigerator There are 2 problems with my fridge. 1) One the controller on the door where you select water, ice, temp, ect... locks up every day or so and I have to unplug the fridge from the wall to reset it. 2) The defroster is not working because there is ice build up inside the freezer compartment and temperature does not get cold enough. I took it apart and tested the heating element for continuity and it looks ok. The controller shows around 14K ohms on the orange wires and that changes with temperature. The Brown and blue wires read open. Does that mean it needs to be replaced?
Answer Hello Benjamin, The dispenser controls locking up would indicate that the dispenser control board is faulty. Unless it is getting an error code. If it gets an error code you will not be able to use the dispenser. The controller ACM73079207 should read closed and if it is reading open then yes it would need to be replaced. Read More...
