Todd April 20, 2017 for Model Number LRSC26941SW On part #: 6615JB2002R Controller Assembly, When I test for resistance do I need to check both "sensors"? As you know this has the "white plug" on the end of the orange wires as well as a silver duct tape wrapped sensor on the end of the brown & blue wires. I have resistance on the orange wires but and getting ) 0.00 on the brown & blue wires when the sensor is both cold & hot (using water). Thank you for your help. Todd Dusseau
1 Answer Todd, your defrost control assembly checks OK, blue to brown wires should have a "closed" circuit under any condition(it's a "meltable fuse). The orange to orange wires should have a resistance of 10K ohms resistance at room temp. Sounds like the sensor assembly is OK. if you're having a defrost issue, the next step is the control board. John September 09, 2013 for Model Number lrsc21935tt lg refrigerator I need specific instructions on how to access the coil where the assembly controller is located. There are these 4 arrows along each side of the plastic cover. Not sure if it is a push tab or do I need to remove the plastic cover above this one first and then slide up to remove it.
1 Answer John, The arrows on the cover are showing you where the back wall is clipped to the liner. You can try to use a flat blade to release then or if you can get ahold of the back wall just pull it off. Make sure that if there are any screws in the wall that your remove them. Read More...
John September 09, 2013 for Model Number lrsc21935tt I need detail instructions to access the controller assembly on this refrigerator. Not to sure how to remove the panel that is covering the coil and controller assembly. Do I need to remove the ice make? Do I need to remove the panel above first before I can remove the panel covering the coil and controller. Do I slid it up or those arrows on the panel indicating push tabs. Thanks
1 Answer John, To access the evaporator to replace the controller you will need to remove the shelving. Once shelving is removed you will remove any screws that are in the back lower part of the wall below the light assembly. The arrows are tabs where it hooks to the liner. If you are able to grab hold of the rear panel and pull out then that is the best way to get it off. The controller will be attached to the evaporator. Read More...
Benjamin W December 15, 2012 for Model Number LSC27914SB Lg Refrigerator There are 2 problems with my fridge. 1) One the controller on the door where you select water, ice, temp, ect... locks up every day or so and I have to unplug the fridge from the wall to reset it. 2) The defroster is not working because there is ice build up inside the freezer compartment and temperature does not get cold enough. I took it apart and tested the heating element for continuity and it looks ok. The controller shows around 14K ohms on the orange wires and that changes with temperature. The Brown and blue wires read open. Does that mean it needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Benjamin, The dispenser controls locking up would indicate that the dispenser control board is faulty. Unless it is getting an error code. If it gets an error code you will not be able to use the dispenser. The controller ACM73079207 should read closed and if it is reading open then yes it would need to be replaced. Read More...
Tai August 08, 2012 for Model Number lsc21943st Is there a way to test this part for failure? Thank you in advance.
1 Answer Hello Tai. Yes, you can test the controller ACM73079207 for resistance. It should be around 10k at room temperature. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
