Dave for Model Number LG WM2016CW Mid load, washer displayed the LE error code. Thought that I may have overloaded it and took partial load out and reset. Did not resolve the problem and the drum would still not spin. Issue was not consistent either. Sometimes drum would spin partially through the cycle and others not at all. Read that the most common culprit is the sensor, so I replaced it. Ran 2 complete cycles and I thought I had taken care of the problem, but on load 3, LE code returned. On the diagnostic mode, sometimes the drum will spin, other times it will not. Does this sound like a circuit board issue? I have not tested the current board but don't know what to expect since the drum will sometimes spin. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer Hello Dave. LOCKED MOTOR ERROR. • The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY. • The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable. • The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited). • The hall sensor is out of order/defective.
