Jesse November 01, 2018 for Model Number WM2301HR LG washer started intermittently stopping mid cycle and popping PF error code (AC power to machine was fine, uninterrupted). Tried the reset (unplug, 5 seconds power, 5 seconds start, etc) and other suggestions, Began happening more and more frequently and finally quit altogether today. Internet suggests the main control PCB as the likely culprit. What you say? (imprint on board is EAX32220502)
1 Answer Jesse, Follow your power cord thru the back wall and see where it enters the noise filter 6201EC1006T. I would inspect this piece very closely for damaged parts, loose connections and so on. Read More...
Kevin Mchugh July 09, 2018 I have a LG front loader washer only washes with hot water on all settings.
1 Answer Kevin, If the unit is only filling with hot water then this will most likely be caused by a faulty main control board on the unit. Read More...
Phil September 25, 2017 for Model Number WM2016CW We had a delay cycle set and paused it to add another item. When attempting to open the door the lights all went off and the door stayed locked. We had to unplug the washer and plug it back in to get the door to open up. Now the washer won't even turn on. There is power running as we have the dryer hooked up to the same outlet. Any idea what the issue might be?
1 Answer Hello Phil. Check all your wiring and test for power to the main board. If there is power there and the unit does not work, you will need to replace the main board in the unit. Thanks. Read More...
Bruno February 02, 2017 for Model Number wt1201cw My LG HE top Load washer will not add water for the rinse cycle on auto wash cycle. If I do a manual rinse spin cycle the tub will fill with water and drain but will continue to spin until I manually shut it off
1 Answer Bruno, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board which is part number EBR76262101. Read More...
Cameron November 17, 2016 for Model Number Ebr32268001 My LG Tromm wm2016cw was running earlier and halfway through the load it powered off and will not power on again. The outlet is good, plug is supplying power, and power is coming out when I trace the wire all the way to the control board I do not seem to be showing power. Can someone help me out please. Thanks
1 Answer Cameron, You will want to test power where the power cord comes into the filter board for 120 vac. Then test out of this same board to make sure that there is power going through it. If there is not then the filter board would be the issue and would need part number 6201EC1006T. if there is power and it is getting to the main control board then the main board would be the issue. Dave February 19, 2016 for Model Number LG WM2016CW Mid load, washer displayed the LE error code. Thought that I may have overloaded it and took partial load out and reset. Did not resolve the problem and the drum would still not spin. Issue was not consistent either. Sometimes drum would spin partially through the cycle and others not at all. Read that the most common culprit is the sensor, so I replaced it. Ran 2 complete cycles and I thought I had taken care of the problem, but on load 3, LE code returned. On the diagnostic mode, sometimes the drum will spin, other times it will not. Does this sound like a circuit board issue? I have not tested the current board but don't know what to expect since the drum will sometimes spin. Any help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Dave. LOCKED MOTOR ERROR. • The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY. • The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable. • The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited). • The hall sensor is out of order/defective. Joe January 22, 2016 for Model Number WM2016CW Recently the bearings were going out and while I had the parts on order from your website, my wife continued using it. Apparently it was too much stress and everything quit. No power, no lights anywhere. I noticed in another video that a main reason this happens could be because the Noise Filter goes out. I ordered it but it didn't help. I was about to order the PCB assembly but thought I would ask first what you thought it might be. BTW, your videos on how to change the bearings were great and very well done as was the other videos you present.
1 Answer Hello Joe. You will need to test for power to the main board. If there is power there, you will need to replace the main board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Greg September 18, 2014 for Model Number WM2016CW HI, My LG washer (WM2016CW) stopped working. That is it has no lights coming on, no power indication at all. I have already verified that the circuit breaker and power outlet are working properly. I read on the internet that if you open up the main board and plug the washer in there should be a led light that lights up on the board itself. There is no light lighting up. So my question is if this internet LED light information is the correct way to learn if I have a defective board and thus can order one knowing this is at least part, if not all, of my problem?
1 Answer Hello Greg. The best way to know what is causing you problem is by testing with t ammeter and see where your losing voltage at. The part where the voltage stops is the part that is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
