Dan C for Model Number RF260BEAEWW My refrigerator (RF260BEAEWW) has no water despenser only ice maker. When the water is being despensed I get a loud vibrating noise when the filter is installed but not when I remove the filter. I tried two filters. It seems the noise is coming from Assy Case-Filter Tank (DA97-12663A). The hoses in back of refrigerator vibrate as well. Does it seem like I should replace DA97-08006D (Water fillter Housing Assembly) or the complete Assembly (DA97-12663A)? Also, do I have the correct part numbers for my refrigerator?
Answer Dan, it would be recommended that the water pressure going to the refrigerator is tested to identify if it is between 40 to 90 PSI (60 to 80 PSI is optimal). If the pressure is good, the filter housing DA82-02866A would need to be replaced as the failure would be in the manifold instead of just the valve. Read More...
