Jason for Model Number DV395GTPASU/A1 I could hear I had a roller going out so I ordered a full new kit and decided to do the belt and tensioner pulley at the same time. When I opened it up, I found the front felt seal was torn in half. I immediately ordered that part (DC97-07618A) and the adhesive for it but when I started searching for instructions (figure its pretty common sense, but don't want to mess it up), I found a lot of posts saying the seal is not sold separately and that you have to replace the entire drum. Am I going down the wrong road by simply removing the old one and all the adhesive and replacing it? I just don't want to waste my money on the $100 seal I just bought and then have to turn around and buy a drum anyway. The drum itself is in great shape otherwise.
