Jason October 12, 2020 for Model Number DV395GTPASU/A1 I could hear I had a roller going out so I ordered a full new kit and decided to do the belt and tensioner pulley at the same time. When I opened it up, I found the front felt seal was torn in half. I immediately ordered that part (DC97-07618A) and the adhesive for it but when I started searching for instructions (figure its pretty common sense, but don't want to mess it up), I found a lot of posts saying the seal is not sold separately and that you have to replace the entire drum. Am I going down the wrong road by simply removing the old one and all the adhesive and replacing it? I just don't want to waste my money on the $100 seal I just bought and then have to turn around and buy a drum anyway. The drum itself is in great shape otherwise.

Jami August 20, 2020 for Model Number DV42H5200EP/A3-00 My original dryer drum cracked. I replaced it with a new drum and in less that 6 weeks have another crack in the new drum. Is there a different drum that can be installed (Stronger metal or better weld) that I can use rather then just buying the same cheap one again that doesn't last? I have read that some dryers have drum options but cant seem to find one for this model.

Dean January 02, 2020 for Model Number DV42H5200EP/A3-0000 I need to replace my cracked Samsung dryer drum and am uncertain as to which part to buy. I believe I need DC97-14849 but don't know if that's 14849M or 14849E or 14849A, etc. There are many alternatives of DC97-14849 varying by that last letter. What exactly does the last letter represent? Is there any way to know what letter is relevant to my dryer model DV42H5200EP/A3 without having to open it up again and look at the old drum? Thanks!
