Joe for Model Number RF263BEAEBC Ice Maker DA9712317A I am getting Ice Dams and freeze ups above the ice maker. Not sure if fill sensor is bad or solenoid is letting too much water in. I have no dripping water in the bin. This unit has always not produced full cubes at the dispensor, just crushed. Any ideas on that fix?
Answer Joe, With there being a ice dam above the icemaker then this would most likely be an issue of the water valve seeping and allowing a trickle of water to flow into the icemaker. This would require a new water valve for this issue. As for the dispenser only giving crushed ice you will want to make sure that the crush cube solenoid is good as it is the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
