Russell for Model Number Samsung refrigerator rs269lars I purchased a Samsung refrigerator rs269lars ice maker from you guys and installed it easily. Ice maker Assembly Part Number: AP4172188 Made by: Samsung. The ice tray filled with water but it is not rotating to drop the ice. I have push the button on the maker assembly and it will cycle and refill but did not drop ice on its own overnight. (Note - the old maker, although overfilling, would still cycle - so that seems to eliminate it being a control board issue) I am hoping there is an easy fix. Any suggestions?
Answer Russell, This issue would most likely be that you may have received a defective icemaker. The sensor on the bottom of the icemaker should sense when the icemaker is ready to dump and send a signal to the control board to cycle. It sounds like the sensor may be bad. Read More...
