Carl for Model Number EM255LABP/AXX My Samsung refrigerator has been plagued with problems for as long as I can remember. In the freezer, the ice maker works pretty good with the exception that when the ice tray goes to dump the cubes they won't come out of the tray. They are stuck! This is followed by a loud thumping noise. I've found this is the icemaker trying to make the tray twist to release the cubes, but this doesn't work. The tray will twist a little but the ice is frozen to the tray and wont release the cubes. This has, over the years, caused the plastic tabs on the icemaker that holds the motor and tray mechanism to the icemaker to break. I've replaced three icemakers and now this one is broken. How do I get the ice tray to release the ice? When it used to work the ice always was broken up in small pieces, never cubes. HELP!
Answer Carl, If the freezer temperature is set too low it will cause this issue to occur. The recommended temp in the freezer is -2 degrees according to the manufacturer. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 24, 2017
