Shari for Model Number RS2578BB About 2 weeks ago I replaced the ice maker on our Samsung fridge and It wouldn't cycle the ice. So I got another ice maker assembly and this one wants to cycle but it will not turn far enough to eject the ice. I can click the reset button to cycle the ice and it will dump the ice, return to the up position and fill with water. The stop bar appears to be functioning fine. Is there another issue with the fridge or is it the ice maker that won't allow the ice machine to run. Any advice would be great! I don't won't to press the rest button every time I want some ice. Thanks!
Answer Hello Shari, If the icemaker cycles when you hit the reset button then there may be something blocking the icemaker arm from coming down during normall cycle. Make sure that the ice bin is in the unit properly and that there is nothing that would cause the arm to not come down fully when cycling. If this is the case then remove the blockage. If nothing blocking then it sounds like a bad icemaker DA97-00258C. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 13, 2012
