Leo N. for Model Number rb215lash My refridgerator freezer section does not cooldown to -2 degrees. The temp indicates that one minute it is 20 degrees and the next it is 4 degrees. The indicator in a space of five minutes will read five different temperatures, and the refridgerator won't shut off. The temperature in the freezer is about 25-39 degrees and won't get any colder. Even with the refridgerator running all the time. Could you help me diagnose this problem? Thanks. Leo
Answer Hello Leo. You will need to check and see if the freezer has frost build up on the back of the freezer wall. If so, you have a defrost problem and will need to test the defrost heater. It should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, you will need to replace the evaporator assembly DA97-00192F. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
