Robert, The DA97-00258C is the icemaker assembly and the DA97-00258E is just the head. The head is not available as a separate part and you would need to get the assembly.

Victor, It is only going to be the ice maker if a switch is stuck, It is more likely to be the water valve not closing. Unplug the refrigerator if the water stops it is in the ice maker; if it does not stop it is the water valve.

Al, more than likely the thermistor on the icemaker assembly [DA97-02203H] has failed and would need to be replaced. Being that the icemaker is able to harvest when the reset button is engaged, that eliminates the possibility of a voltage issue as it would not harvest if the icemaker did not have voltage. The thermistor is available as part of just the motor assembly [DA97-00258E] or as part of the entire icemaker assembly [DA97-02203H].

Holly, For the issue of the icemaker sensor you could test at the control board to see if the sensor is good. It should have a resistance of 5K ohms at room temp but at 0 degrees it should be around 29.5K ohms and would be tested at the CN90 connector pins 3 to pin 4 with the connector disconnected. If the resistance is good then the control board is faulty. For the condenser fan if it is running but getting a condenser fan error then this will likely be the control board that is faulty.

Karen, Try hitting the test button located either on the side or the bottom of the icemaker and see if it will cycle. If it will not then this will likely be a faulty icemaker.

Hello John. Try cleaning the condenser coils and make sure the condenser fan is running good. If so, then the temp sensor needs to be checked. If it is good, then you need an HVAC tech for the sealed system on the unit. The icemaker needs to be 0-5° to properly make ice. Thanks.
