Al for Model Number RB195BSBB/XAA The ice maker has stopped producing ice. I have pressed the test/reset button on the bottom of the ice maker head and the tray will empty and water will run into the empty tray, but will not automatically produce ice. What can be done, could it be the main display that you press to produce ice? Thanks
Answer Al, more than likely the thermistor on the icemaker assembly [DA97-02203H] has failed and would need to be replaced. Being that the icemaker is able to harvest when the reset button is engaged, that eliminates the possibility of a voltage issue as it would not harvest if the icemaker did not have voltage. The thermistor is available as part of just the motor assembly [DA97-00258E] or as part of the entire icemaker assembly [DA97-02203H]. Read More...
