Chip Geil for Model Number Samsung RF266AEPN/XAA Pooling water /freezing water under deli drawer I have tried to fix this two times now, The drain line freezes up and the water backs up into the fridge. I added a piece of 12ga copper wire hanging off the defrost element that goes down in the drain hole about 5 inches or so. It still hasn't really helped. Seems to work ok after I thaw out the drain line , for about 2-3 weeks then starts pooling water again. Research shows this is a big problem with Samsung refrigerators, We bought this about 5 yrs ago and have been having this ongoing issue for the last 2 years,
Answer Chip, If the wire is not helping to keep the drain from freezing then it sounds like the issue may be that the units compressor is coming on before the completion of the defrost cycle causing the water to freeze.
