Joe for Model Number RFG297ABBP/XAA Both the refrigerator and freezer are not cooling properly. It is intermittent, sometimes they will feel fine others times everything is defrosting. Seems to happen daily. If you push the temperature on the front panel it will read the right temp but the fridge and freezer are warm.
Answer Joe, Check to make sure the fans and the compressor are running, then check the frost pattern on the evaporator assembly. The frost pattern should be a light even bit of frost from top to bottom. If the evaporator is fully impacted with frost you could have a defrost issue, or if it is only partially frosted or none at all you could have a sealed system issue. Read More...
