Gary for Model Number RF263BEAESR/AA 01

Samsung model number RF263BEAESR/AA 01. Good day sir: manufactured date of this refrigerator was may of 2015. We live in the desert of Arizona however the refrigerator is in a condition space within the kitchen. The freezer in the bottom pull out is not keeping the food frozen. It is sporadic freezing at one time than not.. The temperature on the panel reads -7° when I place a thermometer a digital and a regular one they are saying around 30° or higher but this is sporadic sometimes of get down to zero. I have corrected the upper portion of the refrigerator by cleaning out the drain [there was no trash only ICE] and installing a copper wire around the heater to keep the drain from freezing also replace a few sensors this is now working fine but the bottom is still cuckoo hope can help me

Answer

Gary, You would want to pull the rear cover of the freezer compartment and check the frost pattern. The frost pattern should be a full even frost pattern from top to bottom and if there is very little frost then this would be a sealed system issue. If the coils are impacted with ice then this will be a defrost issue and will want to check the thermistor and the heater to make sure that they are good. If they check ok then this will be a faulty control board.
