Daniel H Oakley , CA November 05, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA-0000 Temperature read on display was higher than it really was inside the frigerator and it froze the food inside the frigerator it constantly ran because the temp sensor broke Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. While I was in there I replaced the defrost sensor and the other sensor next to the heating rod. Also I know there is an issue with drain hole plugging up with ice so I extended the metal tab deeper into the hole. Now the frig works great. The web page made it easy to navigate through the diagram to find the part in my frig. Jon S Tuscarora , MD February 21, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF260BEAEBC/AA-0001 Displayed e1 error code the root cause was the sensor (thermistor) that got ripped off of the roof of the freezer Since I could not find the correct thermistor from the schematic provided, I ordered the thermistor harness for the evaporator. I cut the harness and spliced it to the sheared thermistor wires on the roof of the freezer compartment. It now works fine with a little "farmer ingenuity" help. Samsung was absolutely no help at all, but the guy that I spoke with over the phone at APP sure was. This site is now my "go to" for appliance parts! Tip for others with this model. Do not overfill the upper storage tray in the freezer. Doing so may cause stored items to shear the freezer sensor (thermistor) off when the door is closed. Louis R Corpus Christi , TX May 14, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RFG293HAWP/XAA-0000 The refrigerator was building up ice on the evaporator to the point that it was interfering with the cooling fan I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I disconnected the fridge the night before and placed a fan on low with the doors open so that it was thawed out when I awoke. It was easy to remove the evaporator cover once I removed all of the shelves. I took pics as i was removing everything to make sure I plugged everything back in its correct location. Be careful to straighten any cooling fins that get bent and make sure the shroud around the heating element is back in place closely around the heating element. Hope this helps someone else. Susan S Nuevo , CA March 18, 2018 Samsung french door fridge ice build up on back wall jamming fan Looked up similar problems on internet. Watched U-Tube fixes and removal of back panel. Took 24 hours to defrost and be able to remove back panel and syrofoam in one piece. Then went to AppliancePartsPros.com, ordered all the defrost parts with some help by Chat to get right pieces for my fridge model. The parts arrived in 2 days. It was very simple followed video. Took about 1 hour to remove and replace parts. All parts are plug in so minimal tool requirement. I waited over month to make sure it had solved problem and fridge is working as it should now no apparent problems. Contacting Samsung only gave the answer of "call a technician" at about $500.00!! The parts and shipping were less than $100.00. I am 71 and female. Anyone could do this repair.
