Questions & Answers

For Samsung Refrigerator Temperature Sensor (Part Number: OEM14937978)

1 Answer

Travis, The error code could be caused by a loose or faulty wire or wire connection, power surge, or other electrical anomaly. Place the unit into diagnostics for any other errors, and check the heater resistance. Check the temperature sensor for the proper resistance also. Reset the refrigerator by pressing both the power freeze & power cool buttons together for approximately ten seconds.

Good day, The temperature on the display is blinkink and the food in the refrigerator is getting frozen. The fresh food evaporator cover was removed and the coils found clean (no ice build up). Looks like the sensor need to be replaced, but i dont know which one - one which is on top of the evaporator coils (DA32-10104N) or the one which is attached to the evaporator cover (DA32-00011C). Can you please help with this issue? Thank you in advance for your advice. Best Regards Roumen

My fridge is freezing food in the fresh food compartment. I placed a standalone temp sensor in the fresh food compartment and it looks like the fridge is trying to maintain a temp that is a lot colder than what is set at the panel. The freezer seems to work fine. I found parts AP4979323 and AP4140984, but I am not sure what the differences are between these two. What is the purpose of each of these sensors, and which one controls the fresh food temp vs. freezer vs. front panel?

1 Answer

Jay, There is not a temperature sensor for the ceiling of this model and the only sensor that would be exposed would be on the icemaker. This sensor cannot be replaced separately and you would need to get the icemaker to replace this. The icemaker part number would be DA97-07603B.

Freezer temp 57 degree cannot go down to 0 degree and remove the panel it is clean no ice build up, the fan is working. Fridge temp is 26 degree setup at 34 degree. fan is working. No error code. Check the board and see the LED red stay on. Not blinking. This refrigerator is only less 5 year. Few years ago, Samsung technician replaced the invertor board. Now, this Samsung refrigerator is broken. My wife told me to get new one. But I want to try it last to replace some parts to fix it. Do I should replace all sensors freezer and fridge? Please advise. Thanks!

1 Answer

Michael, With the evaporator, not frosting and the temp not dropping as it should this sounds like a sealed system issue and for these repairs you will need an EPA-certified technician.
