Questions & Answers

For Samsung Refrigerator Temperature Sensor (Part Number: OEM14937978)

1 Answer

Edward, You will want to take the rear cover in the refrigerator section off and check the evaporator coils to make sure that they are not frozen over. If they are then you would want to test the defrost sensor, the defrost bimetal, and the defrost heater. If any are bad then replace the bad part. If they all test good then the issue will be a faulty control board that would need to be replaced.

Hello Dan, and thank you for your question. Here’s how you can check the humidity sensor circuit: Unplug the power cord. Access the main control and disconnect the wire connection CN30. Test resistance between the wires at pin 1 and pin 3 of that connector. If the meter shows open line (OL): there’s a broken or loose wire, most likely at the door hinge. If you do get a resistance reading: that points to the main control DA94-02663D as the cause of failure.

Travis, The error code could be caused by a loose or faulty wire or wire connection, power surge, or other electrical anomaly. Place the unit into diagnostics for any other errors, and check the heater resistance. Check the temperature sensor for the proper resistance also. Reset the refrigerator by pressing both the power freeze & power cool buttons together for approximately ten seconds.

Brian, Appearance wise, the difference will be with the length of the part and the connector on the sensors are different. Functionally, there should be no difference between the 2.

Good day, The temperature on the display is blinkink and the food in the refrigerator is getting frozen. The fresh food evaporator cover was removed and the coils found clean (no ice build up). Looks like the sensor need to be replaced, but i dont know which one - one which is on top of the evaporator coils (DA32-10104N) or the one which is attached to the evaporator cover (DA32-00011C). Can you please help with this issue? Thank you in advance for your advice. Best Regards Roumen

My fridge is freezing food in the fresh food compartment. I placed a standalone temp sensor in the fresh food compartment and it looks like the fridge is trying to maintain a temp that is a lot colder than what is set at the panel. The freezer seems to work fine. I found parts AP4979323 and AP4140984, but I am not sure what the differences are between these two. What is the purpose of each of these sensors, and which one controls the fresh food temp vs. freezer vs. front panel?
