Aziz Z. for Model Number RF263BEAESG/AA 03

The refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer stopped cooling first but then the refrigerator stopped cooling. Samsung sent a young kid to fix it. They said that it needed a sensor. He came back and said it should be fixed. After 3 hours the whole unit was getting warm. I called them back and after 3 days, they sent another repairman and said that the compressor is not working but he can't fix it because they do not fix the compressors. This refrigerator is only 13 months old and Samsung is just ignoring it even though I have a 5 year warranty on the compressor. The computer board said the Freezer is -2°F and the is refrigerator 35°F. The repairman has no idea why the temperature is good on the computer but the refrigerator is warm. I already purchased a compressor, overload, and temperature sensor from you guys and it's coming in couple days. Thank you

Answer

Hello Aziz, When the freezer fails first and then the fresh food section warms up it indicates a sealed system issue. You will need a Freon certified technician to service the unit because of the EPA laws governing the handling of Freon. It also sounds like there could be a control issue since it is not reading the temperatures correctly. As far as the warranty goes, you will need to contact Samsung, possibly through an authorized dealership to get a response from them. Have the dealership contact their Samsung representative concerning the matter.
