A standard thermometer will not give an accurate reading since it will read the air temperature inside the unit and when the door is opened, the temperature will rise too fast for an accurate reading. If you do it this way and the temperature is still off you can change the temperature sensor DA32-10104N in the freezer compartment. If the problem still exists, the issue will be in the circuitry of the main board DA41-00684A.
