Matt for Model Number RF28HMEDBSR/AA-0000 I have had an issue in the past with ice build up around the fan. A repair tech came out and fixed it, along with replacing the cooling tower and thermostat. This lasted for a while until the other day when I heard the fan hitting ice again. Since it stopped I presumed it had defrosted and all was well. This was until I realized that the displayed temp in the fridge was not as it read. It was set at 37 and a thermometer read 54. Since I am out of warranty, I removed the cover and the fan was iced over along with the drain hole. I presumed temperature sensor was bad but when I checked the ohms (as shown on Youtube), it appeared to be in the correct range. There appears to be two sensors in my unit, 1 mounted on the cooling tower, and 1 on the coil. I de-iced the unit and replace the cover. I powered the unit back up and 2 E was displayed. I reset the error code and hoped for the best. The freezer has been and is still cooling fine. Your suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Answer Matt, based on the information provided, the error E2 is indicating that the refrigerator sensor DA32-00011D has failed and as the sensor has been tested and replaced (if the entire cover assembly was replaced) then the last possible issue would be the main control DA94-02663A.
