Eric for Model Number RF217ACPN Inside panel on back of fridge is icing over, then the noise starts sounds like a loud humming. The temp never fluxuates, it never gets warm, we can unplug for a day,to defrost, then plug in, its fine for a couple weeks then all over again. A couple of repair companies in OK said they won't even touch Samsung but others say it sounds like a defrost timer problem, what do you think ???
Answer Eric, This does sound like a defrost issue but would more likely be a issue with the defrost sensor or the control board. You will want to test the defrost sensor to make sure that the sensor has proper resistance which should be 2.7K ohms of resistance at 77 degrees.
