Nicholas for Model Number WP3399640 I just checked my dryer's voltage. My dryer, model #WED5560SQ0 still has 240 volts and everything is still going smoothly. Is the selector switch supposed to have continuity on all 4 settings and why would the high setting still not heat up and dry even if the dryer still has 240 volts flowing through it?
Answer Hello Nicholas, the switch should read 5100 ohms on the pins that are separate from each other; the pins closest to each other should give you 910 ohms. Make sure you are getting 240v to the heater, you could be losing 120v that comes through the motor switch. Hope this helps! Read More...
