Answer Hello Helen, A sock can go under the agitator but I doubt it would go all the way under. If so, you can remove the softener dispenser, (it just pops off), and use an ratchet, extension, and a 7/16" socket to loosen the agitator. It shouldn't have to be completely removed, just raised up so the stuck item can be removed. If items continue to get stuck, the drive block WP389140 should be checked for wear and the spanner nut checked for tightness. Read More...
